On September 12, 2024, the newly appointed president of AIT, Prof. Pai-Chi Li, visited the Geoinformatics Center (GIC). Dr. Manzul K. Hazarika, Director of GIC, warmly welcomed him and delivered a presentation about the center. The session covered GIC’s key milestones, areas of focus, and ongoing projects. Notable initiatives such as the Sentinel Asia Program, ADB’s InSAR project, the UNDP project in Tajikistan, and RiskChanges were discussed in detail. Dr. Hazarika also demonstrated GIC’s technologies, pLitter, and Pyaez, explaining their functionalities and applications.  

Following the presentation, the director provided President Li with a brief tour of the centre.
