Wild Fire Detection and Climate Change Mitigation

Geoinformatics Center jointly organized a 2 week technical workshop on Satellite Image Analysis for Wild Fire Detection and Climate Change Mitigation with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), for Southern African Region.

The program was held at Geoinformatics Center from 10th to 20th September. The training was included with a two day field visit to Kanchanaburi. Fourteen participants representing seven Southern African countries; namely Angola, Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe participated this event.
