Training 1 focuses on teaching participants on how to carry out dynamical downscaling of climate data using WRF model for Lao PDR. The 5-day training course gives participants an introduction to climate and climate downscaling, the basics of running a Linux operating system, shell and text editor basics, Weather Research and Forecasting Model (WRF) compilation tasks, and how to visualize results from WRF. This training was conducted for the Lao PDR Department of Climate Change with funding from Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI).
