Geoinformatics Center Reopening Day
The reopening ceremony of Geoinformatics Center was held on 25th November 2012. After the divesting flood disaster occurred in last year; Geoinformatic Center had to undergo for a massive rebuilding process as most of its facilities and infrastructure were destroyed by flood. Several distinguish guests including Prof. Murai; the founder of GIC, attended this event.
During the recovery process, Geoinformatics Center received various assistance from its partner agencies, well-wishes etc. It was a great honor to have representatives from those agencies and individuals in the reopening ceremony. The reconstruction process was completed in early September 2012. But the reopening of GIC was postponed to November, with the intention of receiving many of the GIC partners available for the event; due to ACRS conference in Thailand.
