JAXA Sentinel Asia Mini Project 2013 Phase I – Sri Lanka

One week training program for JAXA Sentinel Asia Mini Project Phase I was held in Sri Lanka from 23rd to 27th September, 2013 at Sri Lanka Survey Department Auditorium. About 20 Participants form Government Organization who work relate to Disaster Management field participated this event.

Mr. Kazuya Kaku, the General Secretary of JAXA SA group joined the first day seminar. Main theme of the training was to create element at risk database using free data sources such as Open Street Mapping, AsiaPop, Google Earth and how to use Free & Open Source RS/GIS Software for hazard mapping.
