Overview
This workshop is part of the ongoing project entitled “Integration of Knowledge Hub for Water and Environment in the MKCF Framework”, supported by the Mekong-Korea Cooperation Fund (MKCF). In line with their objectives for sustainable water resources management, KOMEC works closely with Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) through: (i) technical workshops, (ii) capacity-building programs, (iii) milestone events, and (iv) end-to-end support for project planning, proposal development, and pilot implementation, collectively known as the “One-Stop Platform.”
The two-day workshop held from 8-9 July 2025 brought together PIAs and expert institutions to discuss technical challenges in ongoing MKCF projects and explore how the experiences and best practices of RoK can support sustainability and scalability of the projects. The program included a semi-seminar style discussion on sustaining MKCF projects through the Integrated Knowledge Hub platform, followed by a hands-on training and consultation session on developing high-quality Project Concept Papers (PCPs) aligned with Korean ODA funding priorities.
The workshop was attended by 25 PIAs from various MKCF-funded projects from Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC), Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC), Isan Corporation, K-water, Korea-Mekong Water Center (KOMEC), Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA), Kyongdong Engineering Co., Ltd, Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM), Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Royal Academy of Cambodia (RAC), Savannakhet University (SKU), UNDP BRH, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) and Yangon Technological University (YTU).
