SAMBRO Training of Trainers

Geoinformatics Center (GIC) of Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) held a two week workshop together with Sahana Software Foundation from 31st August to 9th September 2015. The main objective of the workshop was to train and certify a set of Master Trainers to build capacities in their respective countries on GIS, Sahana Alerting and Messaging Broker (SAMBRO) and Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) implementation and operational procedures.

There were about eight participants from Maldives, Myanmar and the Philippines participate this event. Francis Boon and Nuwan Waidyanatha from Sahana Software Foundation, Dr. Manzul Hazarika, Mr. Syams Nashrrullah and Mr. Biplov Bhandari from AIT and Mr. Atiq Ahmed from Asia Disaster Preparedness Center were the facilitators of this program.
