Launching PDAN Application
Geoinformatics Center (GIC) of Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) has launched a new web application on 26th November 2015 to enhance its services to Sentinel Asia (SA) disaster support system, which is an initiative of APRSAF. The GIC has been identified as the Principal Data Analyses Node (PDAN) by the SA Secretariat for spatial data analyses and providing value added products to affected countries in Asia and the Pacific. The data are provided by JAXA, the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency of Japan through the Sentinel Asia initiative.
The objective of this PDAN web application is not only to support space data analyses and product generation, but also to enhance the communication and coordination between SA and regional space agencies as well as User community for effective disaster management.
