Regional Workshop on CAP-on-a-Map

As an activity under the CAP on a Map project, a Regional Workshop was organized on August 22nd at the Asian Institute of Technology Conference Center. This project is jointly implemented by the Geoinformatics Center (GIC) of Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and Sahana Software Foundation. The main agenda of the workshop was to get the participants familiar with the Common Alerting Protocol (CAP), lab/exercise and prototyping with the SAMBRO software which is the result of this project and evaluating the workshop and project as a whole. Eliot Christian, Advisor to IFRC and WMO, Nuwan Waidyanatha, Sahana Director and LIRNEasia Emergency Communication Expert and Biplov Bhandari, AIT Researcher and Sahana Developer were the main resource person for this workshop.

This Regional Workshop was scheduled parallel with the 2016 Global CAP Implementation Workshop, as many of the participants were invited to attend both workshops
