Second Session of Geo-DRM Training

Second session of technical assistance workshop on implementing Geo-referenced Information Systems for Disaster Risk Management (Geo-DRM) for Afghanistan and Bangladesh was held at Geoinformatics Center (GIC), AIT from 24th to 28th March 2014.The focus of the training was to provide technical assistance for implementing Geo-referenced Information Systems for Disaster Risk Management (Geo-DRM) and to build capacity on GIS analysis based on earthquake data.

The program was organized by Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in partnership with the United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR), Asia Pacific Office, Bangkok. Seven participants from Afghanistan and five participants from Bangladesh attended this training.
