Training on Geo-Hydroinformatics

Geoinformatics Center of Asian Institute of Technology conducted a Training on Geo-Hydroinformatics including Application of Remote Sensing, GIS and Hydrological Modelling from 30th March to 10th April 2014. Participants were from Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Thailand. The course was designed to provide exposure on the application and use of remote sensing and GIS technology with various open source modeling tools and techniques for the better managing water resources. First week of the training was focused more on the application of remote sensing data and GIS. Similarly, second week of the training was focused on the open source hydrological and hydraulic models as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS and also reservoir simulation models as HEC ReSim.
